Salary: The rates of pay are excellent and dependent upon knowledge and experience.
An exciting opportunity has arisen due to the construction of a brand new 2 bay HGV workshop for a workshop mechanic / fitter.
Once open the garage will service and maintain the groups fleet of vehicles and equipment to include HGV’s, Trailers, Moffatts, Vans, Minibuses & Cars.
Ideally the person should have extensive hands on knowledge and capable of maintaining a broad variety of equipment including using a rolling brake tester. Must be competent at welding and steel fabrication and have knowledge of a 24 Volt electrical system.
Responsibilities and Duties
The role will include servicing/inspecting all of our vehicles on a regular basis, LGV/Trailers every six weeks and minibuses every 12 weeks depending on the mileage, all of this will be done in our purpose built workshop with the full support of the workshop Manager
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Must have a C&E driving licence as part of your duties will include road testing and taking LGV’s for MOT. Along with 5+ years experience and ideally NVQ/City & Guilds
